Jasper

Jasper was forcibly retained at crossbow point by the party to act as guide after his failed attempt to pickpocket Ali. At the time, he claimed to be about 9 years old, though appeared closer to 6 or 7 . He became convinced that the group was a "party of adventurers" on a noble quest and dealt more or less honorably with them for the length of his employment as 'guide'.

Jasper was captured by the Silk Lady and drained of life energy. His body now has the appearance of middle aged man. He was freed from the dungeons beneath the Fortress of the Hand on First Night by the protagonists. He accompanied the group through the catacombs beneath the Fortress and was present for the showdown with the Silk Lady. He stayed with the group and appointed himself guardian and companion to the Princess Alysanne, caring for her injuries and carrying out her sometimes petulant demands on her circuitous journey home to Angland.

He has remained in Albyone in service to the royal family, specifically Alysanne and her brother Leighton Deimaros. He was officially squired to Leighton for his role in protecting Alysanne and returning her home.
