The Night Comes On

The party spends a week sailing north along the coast of East Lannent to Kardia. They have a dream and learn to communicate using their newly altered Slave Collars.
In the dream, they enter a massive domed ampitheater. At the center of the room is a table, surrounded by nine chairs, each with a distinct symbol. The table is perhaps 30 feet high. They climb the chairs to the tabletop and behold an overlarge man (perhaps nine feet tall) nailed naked and spreadeagle to the center of the table. He is quiescent until Ali approachs. His eyes open, becoming pits of flame, and the man's mouth opens in a hideous scream. All wake up.

The group finally arrives in Kardia City and are given rooms in what amounts to the Officer's Club. Sedge makes friends with some officers. Ali slips out into the night to investigate her old home.
