Xartalca

Autumn on Xartalca Island

Xartalca Prison is located on a windswept rock located in the middle of the Howling Straits between Angland and the Kingdom of Kardia. The Prison was built atop ancient ruins of unknown origin and the labyrinthine network of dungeons, caverns, and galleries beneath them. The rock itself is barren except for lichens, mosses, birds, and the occassional seal. Xartalca is part of the Kingdom of Kardia, though it accepts prisoners from many other nationalities for a hefty fee. All prisoners within Xartalca are sentenced to life imprisonment or death. There is no parole. All who are sent to Xartalca die there.
