Sorcerously Transmitted Diseases

Sorcerously Transmitted Diseases is one of the few surviving papers written by the Wizard Moulder.

Moulder identified 7 different infections similar to the one Ali aquired. They all have a similar lifespan divided into three stages:

1. Dormant/Egg - During this first stage the the infected individual/host will not notice anything different. They are detectable through tests.
2. Larval - They begin to feed on the host's lifeforce/Gift. Eventually they will reach an equilibrium, where they are feeding on the lifeforce as fast as the host can replenish it. If the host tries to use his or her Gift, they will end up feeling taxed and unlike normal, will not recover.
3. Adult/Reproductive - Due to unknown factors (possibly self-fertilization or outside stimuli) the parasite will eventually grow beyond its Larval stage. It begins feeding more heavily; actively draining the lifeforce of the host. When the host dies, the creature will die as well, releasing its spawn to find new hosts.

At no time during the infection is the infection detectable physically.
