Ali's three older brothers, executed for treason, along with their father Tobias Beyroux. Whether there actually was a treasonous plot, or the accusation was merely a machination by the Ruell family that Tobias was feuding with is still a popular debate amongst certain merchant circles.

Marcus was the eldest, seventeen years old. Antony was the middle son, thirteen. Little Frederick was only nine. Due to his age, Frederick was not beheaded like his father and brothers, but given poison in his last meal.

Ali and her mother, Therese Beyroux, were pardoned after Therese wrote a letter to the Remillards demanding they save her and her daughter. Though not killed, they were exiled from all of their holdings.

Upon the death of the Red Right Hand, Ali discovered that he had a ring with the Beyroux family crest on it. Also, before she died, the Silk Lady claimed he was Ali's youngest brother, Frederick. This claim has never been proven, though Alara has sworn to discover the truth. That vow has, of course, been put on the back burner for now. After all, she'd believed him dead for almost two decades now; what will another few months or years harm?
