Introduction

In 1988, after a run of only 3 years, the Care Bears TV show was cancelled. Sales continued for a while and then dried up. An attempt to pitch a revival movie failed in 1990, leaving many Care Bears feeling like the world just didn't care anymore. The Care Bears continued to fight the good fight, but some just lost heart. Grumpy Bear had a nervous breakdown. He was committed to the Shady Pines Assisted Care Facility in Arkham, Maine after a failed suicide attempt on Christmas a few years ago. The rest of the Care Bear team visit him every year on his birthday. You aren't invited.

This year, the Care Bears left for the weekend to visit Grumpy as usual, only this time, they didn't come back. Maybe there's somthing wrong or maybe they're just playing a trick on you. Maybe they're all wasted on Cheer Wine and Birthday Cake. Maybe you should go check it out.
