Magic

I don't like the way magic is handled in most games. When you read a novel, magic is either a powerful force far away that affects the main characters in plot specific ways, OR the main characters are spell casters and the casting of spells is difficult, draining, and often dangerous. Casting a spell in a game is a trivial occurance. These don't mesh very well in my mind.

The purpose of this page is to create a generic magic weilding system which can be retrofitted to existing games and used as its own system.

Casting magic takes place as two separate actions: Gathering the energy required to cast the spell and shaping that energy to the desired effect.
