Ham Chowder

Start with Ginger Crusted Ham

Chopped up the leftover ham, about 2 cups worth of 1/2-inch chunks. 6-8 red potatoes. 2 onions. Half a bag of frozen corn. 4 cloves of garlic. Parsley, cilantro, salt, pepper, and some adobo. Throw it all in the crock pot, just barely enough chicken stock to cover it (made with boullion), and turn on high for a couple of hours while I started some fresh rosemary bread in the bread machine.

About 1/2 hour before the bread was done, made a butter and flour rue (3 tblspoons each) and stirred that into the crock pot along with 2 cups of milk. Bring to boil and reduce heat, let it thicken. Eat with fresh bread.
