Jingle Bells

Another ambient arrangement of a classic Christmas Song.

Well, O.K., this one is not as strictly ambient as my version of "Silent Night," but it won't get you kicked out of an office party for playing it. More like, this one is synthesized to my taste. Once again, an unexpected, ridiculous amount of bass and sizzly, echoing SID patches, parade, but this time, disturbing the peace (*), you'll hear some grundgey, staccato trumpets.

These are followed by the jangliest, swinging marimbas you have heard since "Music For Better Living."

Those trumpets, and especially the double "bum-bum" you will hear at 0:56 are dedicated to my Mexican friend Roberto, co-worker and designer of the "Marimba" HDGIGETXFPGA.

(*) note subtle invocation of rebellion as a commodity.

"Jingle Bells" was recorded live in H20Town in December 2001 along with three other Christmas carols (collect them all!). It was first available on the CDR _A Very Special Snackmaster Christmas_ for $2.
