One day I was talking with Kitten, and she called me "jroy" (my username at the time). I thought this was rather impersonal, and told him that if she was going to call me something other than my proper name, he should come up with a new name for me. So she did. Bouncing Leaf.
I suspect that "Bouncing" was for my tendency to bounce from one idea to another with no apparent connection, and Kitten suspects that "Leaf" was perhaps due to the green coat that I was wearing those days.
Occasionally I am known as Queen Leaf, especially in situations where "leaf" was already taken. It's a bit shorter than Bouncing Leaf. My friend Dean found me a picture of a queen leaf!
When I was born, Mom and Dad named me Jessica Marie Roy. That's a fine name, too. Call me Jessica if it comes more readily to mind.
