As soon as Mr. Kincaid was out of sight down the street, Joey broke from his
hiding place and bolted for home. He couldn't believe it! Gramps had been
telling the truth! Mr. Kinkaid was a stupid sceptic... boy, would Gramps be
surprised when he found out what had happened to him...

He caught up to Jenny and Gramps as they were coming out of the garage.

"Grandpa, you wouldn't believe what I just saw! It was a... a... er."

Gramps smiled. "Spit it out, there, boy, 'fore you choke yourself!" Jenny
giggled. "What happened? And how come you're not in bed?"

"I followed Mr. Kinkaid home. I didn't like the way he talked to you, and
I wanted to rustle the bushes or something to scare him as he went by the
cemetary (you know, where all the dead people are, and the trees look all
nasty and evil like they're gonna grab you and all, but I'm not scared of
them, because they're just trees), but when he got to the 'flectin pool, I
was following him in the bushes, and... and..." Joey hesitated.

Gramp's eyes widened. "And?"

"And... and the nekked woman was there!" Joey blurted out. "She was nekkid
and floating, and glowing just like you said, and she told... what?"

Jenny was blushing - she hadn't meant for her cousin to see her like
*that*... but she chimed in to correct him. "You silly, that was just..."

Gramps cut her off. "Of course she was, Joey, did you think I was making it
up? Would I make up a story like that?"

"Well..." Joey stammered. "Sort of. But I believe you, now."

"Good." Gramps said, keeping a firm hand over Jenny's mouth. "Now, lets
get to bed before any more apparations decide to make their appearance and
keep us all up way past *tomorrow's* bedtime. And tomorrow at breakfast,
you can tell us all about what the floating woman said."

He quietly ushered them into the house, giving Jenny a wink. Jenny giggled
again. Whatever it was Gramps had in mind, it was sure going to be fun.

Gramps, he was a genius.
