so, i heard this loud *thump* behind me, and i turned around, and would you
believe there was another one lying there, another bear cub just like the
first, only it was a little different color than the first.  and it, too,
started yammering and howling like it had just fallen a hundred feet to the
ground and hurt itself.  which by all indication is what had happened to it.  

i was puzzled.  where had they fallen from?  they were too far from the
house so they didn't fall from the roof, and there were no trees in the
front yard big enough to hold either of them.

so, naturally, i looked up.
