Now, little Joey, don't you worry none about Pa Ichy. Despite what that
Tanaka feller said, that nuculer pile driver of his, wasn't instantly fatal.
It did drive him right down under Wall Street though, and messed up Spashin'
Robo somethin' fierce. All his internal systems was shorted and the
hydraulics was drained.

Pa Ichy was in a world of trouble, but there was one thing going for him.
Somehow, Tanaka had driven him right down into the old Subway system. It
hadn't been used for years of course, but that meant he wasn't trapped
inside Spashin' Robo.

Pa Ichy climbed out, and dropped to the floor, about ten feet below where
the hatch opened outside of Spashin' Robo's head. He was lookin' over the
wreckage, wonderin' how he was gonna fix it, when he heard a noise behind
him.

He turned to see a huge creature behind him. It was about eight feet tall,
and from the vague, shadowy outline, it looked like it had horns. It
stepped into the light, and Pa Ichy could see that the horns were metallic,
like he was wearin' an old vikin' hat or somethin'.

"Good day, sir," the creature said, "I am Yummy. Yummy T. Yaksworth. You
appear to be in difficulty of some kind."

"You sure can say that again," Pa Ichy said. That danged Tono-Bungay drove
me right into the ground here.

"He used the Nuculer Pile Driver on you, and you survived?" Yummy seemed
very startled.

"Yeah, I think that's what he called it. Muttered somethin' about it bein'
fatal, but I seem to be alive. Barely."

"I think you should come with me," Yummy said, "we may be able to help each
other."

Yummy turned and walked away down the tunnel. Pa Ichy shrugged and follered
him.
