Why a tea page? Well, because I've been drinking more tea than coffee lately, and I noticed a distinct lack of Web pages devoted to Tea.
All the Trendy Wendys are hanging out in coffee bars, drinking some sort of espresso drink imported straight from Seattle, being 'oh-so-much-more-alternative-than-thou-look-I-even-have-the-new-Offspring-album-*wave*-*wave*'
Be original, drink tea.
I have a list of tea suppliers that needs to grow. Maybe I'll do some shopping around one of these days.
And there's some reviews of teas I've sampled. This list also needs to grow, but since I've received two orders from Upton Tea Imports, I'm a happy camper.
Sarah Beth Krupnick compiled a list of tea quotes in a fit of procrastination.
Now there's a newsgroup devoted to nothing but tea. Heaven and bliss! And one of the kindest newsgroups in the active file. It's quite refreshingly mellow. Like tea.

I've pulled a Chai Masala recipe off of the rec.food.drink.tea news group. I haven't tried it yet, and I'm looking for other recipes.
My tip of the week/month/time period:
Lately I've been quite sensitive to caffeine, but I missed having a nice
cuppa in the afternoon or evening. Thanks to the folks on
R.F.D.Tea, now I can enjoy tea again.
Apparently, about 80% of the caffeine in tea is absorbed into the water in the first 30 seconds of brewing. So if you brew a pot, dump off the water after 30 seconds, and pour in fresh water, you'll remove the caffeine, but not the lovely tea taste. I've been trying it the past several days, and it's worked wonderfully!
